I started off having a great day until this happened...
I was walking up from my classroom to go to the office. One of the Assistant Principals was standing at the end of my hall. As I got close to passing her she said "Look at you...now that you are leaving us you are getting all skinny. You gonna get you a man now?"
OMG.....did she really just say that???? Yes, she did.
She really just implied (and assumed) that I didn't have a man because I was fat
Did I turn into a total 12 year old saying something back that was equally as bad??? Yes, I did.
This particular AP has VERY short, unattractive hair (bad relaxer?? balding gene??? I have no idea why)...the kids make fun of her all the time.
I said "I got a man!! I probably got him because I have this long, blonde hair. Get yourself some weave, you could have a man too. And if that was supposed to be some kind of compliment...thanks??"
I was caught so off guard by her comment that I didn't even know what to say...and that was the first thing that popped in my head...even if it was wrong to be ugly right back.
God don't like ugly. Lord please forgive me....and don't let my own hair fall out for making that comment.

Awww hon...Honestly while you already know it wasn't kind...seriously it takes b@lls to say that sort of stuff. I often just let those mean comments like that one she made go right by and then stew about them and what I should have said. I'm proud of you for saying something! : )

I'm usually the one who comes up with a comeback 4 hours after it happened so I applaud you being quick on your feet. She deserved it.
It's amazing what people say without thinking...she probably "thought" she was giving you a compliment...glad you stood up for yourself and put her in her place!!
Even if God doesn't like it, it keeps your blogging family entertained. Love it!

At least you were quick on your feet with a snappy come back :o) I would have stressed about it for hours and then thought of something when it was way too late!

hahahahahaah this really made me laugh. I mean I can understand why you would be irritated. what in the world was she thinking?? This is why I tell my kids not to criticize people unless you are perfect b/c when you do that you open yourself up for getting the criticism back! I agree with the above person who said they usually have a comback 4 hours later!! lol..
