On this day last year I was sitting in my surgeon's office for my first consultation appointment. What a difference a year makes! I am so happy I made that appointment. He tried his best to talk me into having gastric bypass. I felt that was not the right surgery for me. I am glad to have a surgeon who really listened to me.
I spent last summer reading many blogs from the start. That is what really helped me make my decision...reading about the ups and downs of real life people.
I have not regretted getting the band even once...even the day I was puking in my purse...here

At times I do regret the surgery, but other times I'm thankful. I'm so glad your journey is going well, and I love your posts! I read the puking in your purse post, and almost lost it!
that's good to hear...because I just recently woke up from my surgery thinking, what the hell did I just do? I'm doing better now and like you it's so wonderful to read about other people's journeys.
