Just plum wore out

I went back to the PS yesterday. He removed the left drain.....I'm free, I'm free!!!! I feel so much better now.

I returned to work today. My kids were all very excited to see me...it has been 2 whole weeks! They knew I was out because I was having surgery. Of course they didn't know what kind of surgery, they were just told it was surgery on my tummy. One of my aides had talked to them yesterday about when I return she knew that they would be happy to see me, but they could not run up to me and hug me without asking because my tummy was still very sore from surgery. I was glad that she had that talk with them, otherwise they wouldn't have given it a thought to run up to me and throw their arms around me.

Although I was happy to get back to work, it absolutely plum wore me out. My grandmother used to always say "plum wore out"...not sure why the "plum" makes it seem so much more serious, but it does :)

I made multiple trips to the bathroom to make sure I wasn't leaking through the bandages at the drain sites. The Rockstar bandaged them up good this morning, so I made it through the day with no problems there.

My department gave me a get well card with a gift card in it. They said it was to go buy my new thongs. They all know what kind of surgery I had and I had jokingly said that I was gonna be so sexy that I may show up to work in a thong :)

Wanna know what the hardest part about the day was?? Of course you do. It was wearing regular clothes. I have been in sweats for 2 weeks straight. It was uncomfortable to have on regular pants on top of this binder. I have to tell ya...I don't mind wearing the binder at all. In fact, I hate the way it feels when I have it off to change bandages, bathe, etc.

I have feeling that I will sleep very well tonight. I may even try to sleep in the bed now that I can turn over on my side....I will let ya know how that goes :)

I know what you mean about the binder...normally, I hate compression garments but post-plastics I feel so much more secure with mine on.

Glad you had a good first day back at work. I went back on Monday (I worked from home for the past 2 weeks) and I couldn't believe how exhausting it was...and I have a desk job!!

Glad everything went well today! I am sure you are worn out. Get some good rest. It seems like 2 weeks would just not be enough down time.

I'm glad things went pretty well, but I hope you get good rest tonight - I can sure understand why you are plum wore out (btw, anyone who says plum wore out, naturally says it in a southern accent, too, in case you wondered - at least I do. In fact, I almost said "nacherlee".)

Lol on your co-workers celebrating your thong-aptitude, too. :-) I think that is great. :-D Today I had a meeting with my son's teacher and she said, "I forgot what kind of surgery you said you were having?" and I said, "That is because I didn't say, ha ha!" awkward pause....and we moved on. I tried to be light and friendly about it...but not sure that worked, LOL!!! (I just WILL NOT lie, and I don't care to tell...so...there you are.)

I'm so happy to hear you got your drain out! The thong gift card is cracking me up as well.

I hope you got lots of rest when you got home and that each day gets easier. :)

Hi would you mind letting me know which hosting company you're working with? I've loaded your blog in
3 different web browsers and I must say this blog loads a lot faster then most.
Can you suggest a good web hosting provider at a reasonable price?
Many thanks, I appreciate it!

Hi! This is kind of off topic but I need some help from an established blog.
Is it very hard to set up your own blog? I'm not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty fast. I'm thinking about making my own but I'm not sure where to begin. Do you have any tips or suggestions? Many thanks

Woah! I'm really loving the template/theme of this website. It's simple, yet effective.
A lot of times it's very hard to get that "perfect balance" between superb usability and visual appearance. I must say you have done a fantastic job with this. Also, the blog loads extremely fast for me on Chrome. Excellent Blog!
