One month surgiversary

Can you believe it has been one month??? Me either. I haven't weighed this week, so not sure what my total loss is right now. I have my first fill appointment tomorrow, so I will just wait to see what his scales say.

My nerves are up and down like whore's drawers. One minute I think I am fine with it and the next I start thinking about that big ole needle. My doctor offers the numbing shot if you want it...I don't know if I want it. I have read where some of y'all say the numbing shot hurts worse than the fill needle, and others say they wouldn't get the fill without it. Decisions, decisions...help!

I also meet with nutritionist tomorrow. No worries there. I have done good when it comes to that. I do think I deserve some kind of award for going 30 days without a Mountain Dew...just sayin.

Good for you! Hope the fill goes well.....I never get numbed, it's just a quick stick.

I'm a new follower. I've never had a numbing shot for a fill. They are not painful. I was banded in February 2010 and have been at goal for a year tomorrow. You can visit me http://amandakiska.blogspot.com

haha whore's drawers. i like it. this is going to sound so stupid, but i honestly don't remember if my np gives a shot to numb or if she rubs something on it. either way, they do get it really numb and i think it would suck otherwise. good luck with your fill!

I have never been numbed. I don't know if my doc even offers it, but to me it just means I would be jabbed twice.

You crack me up! I agree with Nora, that would just mean getting jabbed twice. For me I didn't feel even a bit of the needle, but needles don't scare me so that may be it. Good luck today, I'm sure you'll be fine!

I never get numbing shots, but my doc doesn't use the huge huber needle (sp?). Just depends on what you're most comfortable with. :)

Can't believe it's already been a month!
