Not a Great Day in Bandland for Me

So, right after my first fill I felt the same...but than again I was on liquids.

Today, not so good. I took one bite of scrambled eggs this morning and was in misery for over half an hour afterwards. I just have to tell y'all....I never knew it was possible to have that much slime in my body. Seriously.

I have not even attempted to eat anything else today. I scared to...I don't wanna see slimefest again. I have been drinking, but even that is a little uncomfortable unless it is just small sips. I have barely made it through a bottle of water today.

Somehow, this is not exactly what I thought a fill would feel like.

Oh dear, so sorry to hear that! Why do you think it happened? I thought scrambled eggs were easy to get down...? I've got to admit...I'm getting SCARED about this decision, a week before surgery. Hope you feel better!!

After a fill there can be as much swelling for some patients as there was when the band was first placed. For this reason my surgeon will not allow food for 7 days and then it is mushies only. You have to be really careful Being too tight can be hell so monitor this very carefully. I hope it gets better for you!

Ugh, sliming is the worst. You sound like you may be too tight girl. I would stay on liquids all day tomorrow and see how you feel on Monday. If you still cannot eat food, call your office and get an unfill.

Kristen is right. you have to be very careful right after a fill until your body adjusts. You also have to remember to chew really good because when your band is looser you don't have to chew as well and you get used to it. Sorry you had a stuck episode they do suck.(hey thats rhymes!!) Get a little taken out if you can't even tolerate fluids, it will be better in the long run..feel better

I kind of think your doctor is pretty aggressive with putting in fluid during surgery, then adding a lot more just 1 month out. Just basing on my doctor who didn't put any in at surgery, and I just got 2.5 cc for my first fill, and they don't do it less than 6 weeks out. I know every doctor is different, I just hope yours isn't pushing you too much.

Eggs still give me issues....over two years later.

And I would definitely let things calm down by staying on liquids/very soft foods.

Just take it easy... and be careful with eggs. I can't eat them:) Doesn't matter what I do to em'! Don't hurry to quickly to get an unfill, see if it persists!

Oh no, I hope you don't have problems with eggs permanently. Alot of people do, apparently. :)

I've never had a problem with them, so I used to eat them 24/7... I might never have them again after my mushies phase. lol
