Actually, I am happy to have an appetite again, but seriously, there could have been some kind of in between wanting to hurl when I looked at food and clawing up someone's face if I didn't shove food in my mouth within 2.2 seconds.
I worked all day Friday (very exhausted) and then came home and got ready for The Rockstar's show. Just getting ready takes all my energy. It takes me about 45 minutes to take off all the bandages, clean everything, and bandage back up. But I sucked it up, and did it, and off we went to the show.
I had no idea I would have to stand outside in line for over 30 minutes when we got there. That was brutal. By the end of the day I am swollen and the last thing I want to do is stand up....outside....with a bunch of metal heads. But again, I sucked it up, and did whatever I had to do to be the supportive little wife I should be :) Most of the time I can use the whole "I'm with band" card and get right in, but this was a bigger show, with a very well known band, and that didn't fly this time.
I sat in the back of the venue away from everyone so there wasn't much chance of some random drunk guy falling on me and knocking me down. By the end of the night I was extremely uncomfortable and couldn't wait to get home to bed. The Rockstar did great. He was like a giddy teenager getting to open for his idol. Since I was in the back I didn't get many pictures of The Rockstar...and I didn't even care about getting pictures of the other bands...they aren't my idols.
After the show we went to eat. All of a sudden, out of no where, I was starving. I had an entire ham and cheese omelet and 3 pieces of bacon. On Saturday we ran errands, went grocery shopping, and then met a bunch of friends for dinner. We went to a sushi place. I don't eat sushi, but everyone else did. I had never seen so much sushi in my life....
That was just one person's plate. And yes, he ate it all....
Today I am just resting and doing some light housework (still not really supposed to be doing housework). The Rockstar is out mowing our grass for the first time this year...so glad I don't have allergies.
I am thinking about getting a spray tan this week. I still can't go to the tanning bed and I would really like to wear capri's without blinding everyone. I have never been spray tanned and I scared I will come out looking like an oompa loompa :)
I am saying a special little prayer today for my friend Cheri, who is having surgery tomorrow.
I hope all of y'all have had as good of a weekend as I did! Toodles!

I got a spray tan for the wedding's I was in recently. I LOVED it! I was afraid of looking like an OL too, but it wasn't orange. She did such a good job and if I ever win the lotto I will be getting one every other week!
You were the good wife! I am so glad you are feeling better.
mmmm sushi...that is one thing I just haven't let myself have...not sure why except I don't want to get sucked back into white rice..I love it so much! You should get a medal for wifee of the year!
I LOVE sushi...but I could NEVER eat all that! If I'm starved I can eat maybe 10 pieces! That is amazing, lol!
And you are amazing, too - talk about showing your love and support. I hope you are able to get enough rest for school again next week though!
Thank you for your words of support, they really touched me. xo
I had to try to count the pieces on that plate, lol....it looked like 36-40 YOWZA!!!! Pre-band, 6-8 pieces fill me up! I still am in sushi-awe...of course if there were multiple flavors, and alcohol involved...MAYBE I could get to 12 pieces...
How wrong is it I'm working this out so hard in my mind? LOL Must be since I only had liquids today. Can you IMAGINE if I was one of those people who had a 2 or 4 week liquid pre-op?
Spray tanning just once looks fine. It's when you layer it multiple trips that it can look orange I think. I prefer the bed too, but a spray tan is a good way to get a quick flash of color without having to build a tan.
That sushi looked delicious. MMMM!
So glad you got some downtime to relax, that was a crazy day!
You are awesome for going to his show after a long day and being sore/exhausted!! It's giving me sympathy-yawns just thinking about it :)
I'm cheap, so when I want a little color I use the Jergens Natural Glow. After a day or use of regular applications, I have just enough color to make me look healthy and glowy!
That concert looks just awesome! Congrats to the RockStar!
