Ten Things Thursday...Picture Edition

Thanks to the gorgeous Laura Belle we have Ten Things Thursday!!

1. Things with 1 of my aides has not gotten any better since the beginning of the week. I hate it when someone is mad at you (for reasons that still aren't real clear to me) and instead of just telling you what the problem is they talk loudly to other people about you. The comment today : "I guess she thinks she's all that." Why yes, I am all that...and a bag of chips. So there.

2. Why does gas gotta be so expensive???? It makes me mad when it is one price in the mornings (and I don't stop to get gas) and then like way more in the afternoon (when I have to stop or I will be walking home).

3. Is it wrong that if I pass stinky gas in class that I blame it on one of the kids???

4. I had to take Austin to the vet yesterday. My poor baby has a hemorrhoid. Did you even know that dogs get hemorrhoids?? I didn't. But it did completely freak me out when I noticed it yesterday. I went straight to vet with him.

My vet's office has this hanging in one of the exam rooms...

So true. So very true.

5. I totally forgot to tell y'all...I went shopping this past weekend and guess what size shirt I bought???

6. I will be so glad when this election is O-V-E-R! I am so sick of reading political opinions and rants on fb. Yesterday someone posted this as their status update: "Just so you know, if you plan to vote for Obama you might as well unfriend me now, because anyone who would be stupid enough to vote for him shouldn't be a friend of mine" Wow....really??? All of your friends must have the exact same opinion and views that you do??? Delete...you are right, we don't need to be friends. And for the record I would have felt the exact same way if "Obama" had been replaced with "Romney".

7. You know how there is always that one person in an office who has a candy basket/jar that you just can't resist?? Well,  I have become known as the teacher who has the chocolate. Several teachers in the building have started coming in my room to hit up my stash nearly every day. I don;t mind...it just means that I am not eating it all by myself :)

8. I like ice in my drinks. And I like to eat ice. And I am a total ice snob. The hospital has grade A ice...but I don't wanna hang out in the hospital just to get ice. Sonic has grade A ice too. Did you know that at some Sonic's you can buy ice by the bag?? Yep, it's true. The other day I also found out that Zaxby's has pretty good ice too...

9. I have some kind of cyst or something on my leg. At first I thought it was an ingrown hair or possibly some kind of bug bite, but it never went away (after like 6 months) and I went to the doctor about it a few weeks ago. He wasn't sure what it was either. He gave me antibiotics (because isn't that their answer for everything???) and an antibiotic cream. He said to come back in 2 weeks if it wasn't gone and he would have to refer me to a surgeon. It still hasn't gone away, but I keep forgetting to call and make another appointment.

My mother freaks out about my health stuff. She has had 3 kinds of cancer (breast, ovarian, and melanoma) and thinks every every bump, spot, or cough I get could be cancer. Is it sad that I am 42 years old and my mom still has to tell me when to go to the doctor??

10. I can't believe I have already been back at work for over a month. I miss summer. Why can't I just get paid for doing this...

I love you! You made me laugh.

My childhood girlfriend's favorite saying is, "he thinks he's all that and a bag of chips". lol

I completely understand what you were saying about co-worker. What a loser as my brother would say.

I'm a total ice snob too!!! it has to be crushed like at Sonic or I'm not happy about it!!!

Way to go on the SIZE M!!

I love the Someecard regarding the Election! Totally me too!

OMG - I love certain kinds of ice!!! It just makes me happy! Also - there was way too much farty/poopy/roidy talk in one post. Warn me next time. I still love you.

Size M - Epic! And love that your mom texts! Mine doesn't own a computer or talk on the cell phone....EVER. I keeping asking if she is Amish....

One of the reasons I know you are such a great teacher? Even your BLOGS appeal to us with humor and visual aids!! I love reading your blogs. :-)

I LOVE the dog quote. I want to live up to what my dog thinks of me. And I want to be more like my dog in the way I unconditionally love my family. Just sayin... (But I don't want to have hemorroids, is that OK?)

LISTEN TO YOUR MOTHER

Can you pull your aide aside and flat out ask her what the problem is? That would drive me bonkers to work with. I guess you aren't wanting to cater to it. I'm sorry...always has to be something, huh. Keep your great sense of humor. I wish I could volunteer to work for you!! But the commute would kinda suck.

Go to the DR! Maybe his office is in the hospital and you can get some Grade A ice! I'm an ice snob too. I always tell my husband that I want to own a crushed ice machine someday. We don't talk about winning the lotto - we talk about owning ice machines, a popcorn machine and a soda found machine for our theater room. Maybe there is a reason I got fat? ha! Can't wait to meet you in Chicago in a few short weeks!!!!

Damn, sometimes aides are obnoxious.
Political rants on facebook, are stupid. Especially when the grammar is terrible.
Farting in class, who does that? ;)

Yay, lookit that size M!

Also, I hate bratty co-workers. I don't understand why work has to be so dramatic all of the time. Can't we all just relax and focus on getting the job done? Sheesh!

Fantastic TTT!!! I'm lovin' it!

I hate work drama too. It's like some people here are still in high school. Pahleeeze people, GROW UP! Grr.

I hate ice. I know, I'm weird. I only put a little in my cups. It could be that every time I drink outta a cup the ice attacks my face and I get all freaked out. Maybe I don't hate ice, maybe i'm scared of ice. Ok, i'm still weird.

Have I told you lately how much I love you?? Probably not cause I've been on the fringes of blog world for like 2 months now. /sigh

Ok, first size M!! You freaking rock girly.

Also - love the cartoon about the gas prices. So true.

I completely get what you mean too about people zeal about politics too. I even work in a political environment and cannot stand it!

As for the candy. Why yes, my bestie ROBYN is the keeper of the candy basket. Biotch. Still love her of course. I've followed Ronnie's advice to think of little cockroaches crawling around on it to help hold off temptation.

Have a great weekend! /heart u

PS - go to the Dr. /nod

First Rate Ice??? Wow, I feel like a hick, I never pay any attention to the ice.

Size M is awesome.
